Product Description
The TX-B3-010K-115216 is a 1 kVA single-phase, resin-encapsulated buck-boost transformer. It has a dual 240/480V primary winding and a 24/48V low-voltage winding — these are the transformer’s windings, not a 240/480V-to-24/48V conversion. Wired as a buck-boost autotransformer, the low-voltage winding adds to or subtracts from the supply to make small voltage corrections (typically a few percent), so the unit carries only the correction portion of the load and supports a much larger connected load. It can also serve as an isolation transformer at 24/48V.
Housed in a NEMA 3R steel enclosure (ANSI 70 light grey) for indoor or outdoor mounting with 3/4" NPT conduit knockouts, aluminum windings, Class 180°C insulation, 115°C rise, 50/60 Hz, no taps, cETLus listed. Use one unit for single-phase, two (open delta) or three (wye) for three-phase buck-boost banks.
