The TX-BB-208V-240V-20A-8.4-6.20 is a 4.16 kVA single-phase buck-boost transformer that boosts a 208V supply to 240V — a 15% voltage correction — bringing 240V-rated equipment back into its proper operating range.
This unit corrects a 208V building supply to 240V at the point of use, by permanently boosting the circuit voltage, without modifying the building's electrical service. Designed for equipment rated 240V that is installed on a system experiencing undervoltage from the utility. Wired as an autotransformer, the unit handles only the difference between input and output and not the full load. This is why a 20-amp buck-boost transformer is significantly smaller and lighter than a 20-amp isolation transformer. The encapsulated core construction eliminates audible hum and provides stable thermal performance under continuous duty. Features pre-wired 8' line-in and 4' line-out cords terminated in NEMA 6-20 straight blade cord caps. Surface mounting bracket for easy wall mount installations.
